I was promoted to the supervisor when my boss left the company since I already had a relationship with the testing labs/my old boss thought I was the best person to replace him. My duties included leading a team of 6 people and insuring that everything was done correctly and efficiently from the time we received the plant material from cultivation to the time the final products got portioned. Every day I would schedule what tasks everyone is responsible for as well as deciding what material we should extract and what final products should be made that week. While in this position I also had a relationship with our testing labs and would prepare samples and assure that the labs got the correct samples/did the correct testing on them. I was also still in charge of remediation of all the plant material that came back to extraction. I learned to use an Agilent Gas Chromatography machine to test for residual solvents and got a brief overview of the HPLC. I did R&D on multiple extraction methods that our GM was curious about trying as well as worked to improve our current methods of extraction and processing. Most recently helping to improve our terpene extraction method to pull higher purity terpenes with as little as 3% thc as opposed to the normal 12-15% thc that we had been seeing on our COAs. I sat in on all product development meetings and am responsible for creating around 12 different strain combinations/names to increase our variety as well as suggested stronger potency thc and cbd capsules and tinctures, which all sold faster than our previous tinctures and capsules. In these meetings we discussed new product SKUs to make as well as ideas for ways to improve sales of current SKUs. I helped develop a method of infusing an icy hot base with thc/cbd as well as developed the portioning method. I helped develop infused suppositories as well as how to portion them.

After being hired full time, I continued to portion extracted final products. I used a Thompson Duke Industrial ACF as well has MCF for filling carts, dart pods and syringes I used a Schaefer robofill to portion tinctures and the capsules themselves while using a Schaefer slat loader and lab top bander to seal the capsules to prevent leaking.
