Provided completion planning on an integrated project team for Atlantis Subsea Development project in 6800’ water depth and Mad Dog Spar Development. ► Developed a space out method utilizing existing tools for DeepWater Atlantis project resulting in savings of $500K (24 hrs) per well in rig time. This technology was used on 22 wells during field for a savings of approximately $11MM.► Developed Basis of Design for completions, including detailed front end loading (FEL), schedule timing, and cost estimates for deepwater and shelf operations (operated and non-operated properties).► Reviewed subsurface requirements for project development of exploratory/appraisal projects and made recommendations on development options in regards to completions and production for wells. ► Lead engineer for gravel pack fluidization study to determine how to effectively and safely ramp up wells during initial production and maximize drawdown to increase well productivity.► Provided completions/production input to subsea tree standardization project to establish a fit for purpose tree design and interfaces between drilling, completions, production and facility design, including wellhead to tree and tree to subsea architecture interfaces.► Performed numerous SIT/FAT tests and protocols to minimize completion installation downtime by utilizing hands-on approach including utilization of rig crews to accomplish the “team” feel for the project.► Worked with vendor to establish FEA analysis in fields susceptible to compaction issues. Used data to aid in slip joint design to minimize compaction effects in sand face completions.► Aided in reviews of rig design and optimization to achieve the best in class completions for Atlantis Project. Responsible for successful design and implementation of completions and workovers in Gulf of Mexico Region and International DST and Completions. ► Designed and developed first SMART well for Kerr McGee to be used in completing a DeepWater well that was uneconomical without it. Resulted in a successful completion of a subsea well with 8 BCF of reserves that otherwise was uneconomical in addition to expediting reserve recovery by 3 years. KM adapted SMART Well technology on a go forward basis because of this success. ► Designed completion and well tests for Bohai Bay, China, well that successfully tested 8 sands and led to KM developing the field. The local oil company had not had success in completion the wells. Field development was over 15 wells based on this success and is currently producing. ► Utilizeda DiPole Sonic tool to evaluate sanding potential of well in order to eliminate the need for gravel packing each zone for the Bohai Bay, China well. Resulted in a successful test of the well with only one sand producing sand as was predicted by the log. Resulted in a cost saving of over $1M.► Out of the box thinking resulted in the installation of compact well heads allowing for simultaneous operations while the rig was on platform resulting in a savings of approximately $300K.► Prepared AFE’s and procedures for recovery of two subsea trees and the refurbishment of same. Re-installed the two trees in separate subsea completions. Initiated the design of 14 SPAR wells and five subsea wells for the Boomvang/Nansen project in 3500’ of water.► Implemented new perforating techniques for deepwater platform rig that saved $535K and 93 hrs of rig time. Completing a Ewing Banks 910 triple stack pack with dual strings in 14 days by using EL perforating vs. TCP. Received 7 S.C.O.R.E. awards in recognition of exceptional performance in completion operations.

Developed several applications including a downhole swab valve to allow for the introduction of long tools into pressurized wells in an offshore environment. Provided marketing and technical support for all Baker Oil Tool products and services for the drilling departments, including liner hangers, external casing packers, and thru tubing inflatable products. ► SENIOR APPLICATIONS ENGINEER | HOUSTON, TX Responsible for completion design and advice to clients domestically and internationally. Developed marketing strategies for new technology through liaison with operating companies, development of coiled tubing completion strategies, and teaching completion strategy seminars. Designed several different applications that would allow for underbalanced completions of offshore wells in the North Sea. Net result was a significant reduction of fluid losses and formation damage resulting in higher PI’s and higher returns on investment. This resulted in a reduction in workovers due to corrosion which were averaging over $3MM each.► Introduced the technique of surging wells and underbalanced perforating for sand control in inland waters in south Louisiana. Significantly improved productivity and reduced skins in wells versus traditional perf washing techniques.► Won a Texaco StarQuest award for innovation in partnering with other operators for a $140K reduction in rig mobilization costs.► Assigned to assess damage to Texaco operated wells in the PNZ of Kuwait following the Persian Gulf War. Prepared detailed operating plans for the Kuwaiti government. Directed firefighting and reconstruction teams in Kuwait.► Initiated policy to change gravel packing techniques by developing decision tree analysis structure. Resulted in more teamwork and an increase in successful gravel packs in older wells.► Coordinated P&A project for 7K abandoned wells for Texaco USA operations. Reviewed all state regulations in regard to optimal plugging of wells while minimizing exposure and costs.► Performed corrosion mitigation and audit programs which resulted in a reduction in chemical usage of approx. 8%.
