Associate Director, Instructional Technology & Research Support
CurrentReports to the Associate Vice President of Academic & Operations Support and supervises a team of ten instructional innovation and academic research professionals, as well as a pool of graduate students.Works with senior leadership, serves on committees, and collaborates with campus partners to plan for, design, acquire, install, and support technologies for online and hybrid courses.Oversees instructional design, course building, digital accessibility, and faculty development for the Stritch School of Medicine, Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, and the Parkinson School of Health Sciences & Public Health.Manages the university’s instructional systems and academic research technologies that support all Loyola faculty and students, including training, consultations, and self-service resources.Partners with Business Intelligence and the Provost’s Office to develop, promote, and support a robust learning analytics initiative.Maintains relationships with cloud service providers; regularly reviews licensing agreements and negotiates pricing. Manages an annual budget to support communication and content development applications.Collaborates with peers in higher education, develops partnerships with other institutions, and represents Loyola in outside organizations.Teach INDN 431, Fundamentals of Learning Analytics for the Master in Instructional Design (MPS) program at Loyola University Chicago.
