Reports to the Associate Vice President of Academic & Operations Support and supervises a team of ten instructional innovation and academic research professionals, as well as a pool of graduate students.Works with senior leadership, serves on committees, and collaborates with campus partners to plan for, design, acquire, install, and support technologies for online and hybrid courses.Oversees instructional design, course building, digital accessibility, and faculty development for the Stritch School of Medicine, Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, and the Parkinson School of Health Sciences & Public Health.Manages the university’s instructional systems and academic research technologies that support all Loyola faculty and students, including training, consultations, and self-service resources.Partners with Business Intelligence and the Provost’s Office to develop, promote, and support a robust learning analytics initiative.Maintains relationships with cloud service providers; regularly reviews licensing agreements and negotiates pricing. Manages an annual budget to support communication and content development applications.Collaborates with peers in higher education, develops partnerships with other institutions, and represents Loyola in outside organizations.Teach INDN 431, Fundamentals of Learning Analytics for the Master in Instructional Design (MPS) program at Loyola University Chicago.

Oversee the daily support function of all instructional systems including the LMS, video capture and storage, academic research applications, and 300 technology-enhanced classrooms.Lead future development, improvements, efficiencies, analytics, and automation of instructional technology and support services for all course delivery modalities.Supervise a team of ten full-time professionals and twenty student workers.Evaluate new and emerging academic technologies and research computing software.Manage combined operating, refresh, and capital budgets in excess of $1M; regularly review service provider contracts and proposals.

Oversaw the daily support function of 300 technology-enhanced classrooms; resolved technical issues, implemented preventative maintenance, and planned for technology refresh.Supervised a team of four full-time professionals and fifteen student workers.Provided training, technical support, and self-help resources to the University community.Managed an annual technology budget in excess of $500K.

Provided strategic direction for the Center’s technology initiatives including online programming, research and assessment, and marketing and promotion.Explored, tested, recommended, and implemented new technologies.Supervised one full-time professional and a fluctuating pool of part-time assistant instructors and subject matter experts.Taught graduate-level courses in technology and marketing for the Early Childhood Administration program.

Worked with the Executive Director, Purchasing, and Grant Office to process and handle all financial activities of the Center; wrote and reviewed proposals for funding large projects.Maintained all administrative and instructional technologies for the Center; provided training and technical support to faculty, students, and staff.
