Working as the lead designer one of ABC’s biggest digital products, I led and collaboratively drove the product design and development process/framework, ensuring our audience's perspective is always heard and evidenced to better inform our product decisions. Internally, I worked closely with the product team on a day to day basis. This was mostly with the design team, Product Managers and Agile coaches/Delivery Managers within and also across our products. Beyond our products, I worked with our Product Design Manager and senior stakeholders to deliver on our strategic objectives and identify new opportunities to develop our teams, culture and products alike. This role was been an incredible challenge and allowed me to focus on developing my leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills. Being able to add value in this way to the ABC and its audience has proven to be rewarding and full of opportunity, growth and collaboration. My focus now is to continue to lead myself and others into better ways of designing, working and consistently delivering value to our audience, teams and organisation.

Velvet Onion had a clear purpose: to improve life through design. The design process was based on Lean and Agile UX methodologies, including co-creation workshops, rapid and interactive prototyping, design sprints and continual usability testing. My role was to create and deliver exceptional design work that solves complicated problems for the customer and business alike.
