Analyze, plan and implement payment integrity, risk management and internal control projects supporting the Department's organization and mission. Created new centralized data collection methodology and tools for 47 payment sites across the Department. Analyze data and provide internal control recommendations to improve the payment integrity of the Department. Provide annual payment integrity analysis for the Agency Financial Reports, Office of Management and Budget's data call, and the federal payment accuracy website.Developed risk assessment and mitigation processes for the Recovery Act financial assistance awards. This work enabled the program offices to effectively award, monitor and manage programs that expanded 500% their annual size during the Recovery Act. In 2011, was presented with the James T. Campbell Award for Financial Management Excellence, the Department's top honor for financial management. Planned, analyzed and organized a Department wide program to improve the Financial Management System. As a result, a 10 year significant deficiency on the annual Financial Statement Audit was eliminated in less than 2 years. Worked on various internal review projects in areas of international and domestic travel costs, improper payments and referrals from the Inspector General.
