Every day responsibilities include a combination of physical layer Rate vs Reach DSL performance evaluation, evaluating gateway feature and webpage UI functionality, Black box/Gray box testing of DSL gateways for home users deployed by customers such as AT&T, bug creation/verification, test plan creation, test result reporting and working closely with developers to help debug embedded device firmware issues through a countless number of software releases. I am also responsible in my group for the calibration support activities of our DSL test equipment. On occasion and when needed I would also be responsible for some script work in Perl and TCL for test automation. Accomplishments made during my experience in this position include but are not limited to:*Designing and bringing up an in house multi gateway test setup to start testing on new G.Vector technology for our DSL gateways. *Learning and making use of Spirent Test Center TCL libraries and putting together a test script for testing VDSL bonding standard WT-249 conformance of our DSL gateways which involve tracking the traffic performance of our gateways via a bonded connection. *Working with AT&T to help set up a Pace vendor lab within AT&T to help insure DSL vectoring interoperability of our DSL gateways in a customer environment.

Every day responsibilities include the evaluation of wireless rate versus range throughput performance on ever evolving software builds on digital subscriber line (DSL) wireless products, Wi-Fi Alliance specification and test plan compliance on products prior to release as well as product submission of products towards obtaining Wi-Fi certification and assisting hardware and software groups in the debug and development of a variety of wireless features and technologies on a variety of DSL wireless routers.

General responsibilities starting out included printed circuit board prototype bring up as well as debug and parts evaluation and approval. As time passed other responsibilities included the design, implementation and maintenance of DSL loop performance test automation using high-level HPVEE language, the test support/debug of FCC/CE emissions and ESD issues at external lab sites for a variety of Westell products, USB-IF compliance testing submission, ethernet hardware interoperability testing support and design, design verification testing, documentation and subsequent engineering release of numerous ODM DSL router devices.
