With a long history of experience in the food and hospitality industry, I knew early on that I wanted to work with people. It was through the restaurant atmosphere where I discovered that I wanted to provide a service to people, provide a tailored experience, and to create something special for each and every one of my guests that came in to dine at my restaurant. Whether they were looking for me to guide them on an journey of food and drink, to talk about sports or politics over one of my crafted cocktails, or to inquire about some exciting events or activities that was happening in city, I was taking on different roles and wearing different hats as I was making intimate connections with people I've never met before. This experience lead me to an education in cinema and film production at San Francisco University where I delved into World Cinema and the Documentary genre. This study deeply explored the different myriads of cultures and perspectives and really enriched me as a person. The different intricacies of the human experience was portrayed through this common thread called cinema. At SFSU I found my drive and passion to use the medium of cinema to explore social change, promote humanitarian efforts, or examine the human psyche. With the experience I gained in my undergraduate education in film production, I was able to successfully produce numerous documentaries. However, I had a strong desire to make a different impact through more intimate connections with people.Having been raised with a Buddhist background, I explored meditation heavily throughout my youth and discovered subtle bio-energies within my body. It was from this discovery that I decided to tie my health interests with my career goals to unite all the important aspects of my life.By pursuing a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I am able to acquire my dreams of making deep connections with people by providing them with a sense of balance and well-being.
