I work as a Project Manager for Figg Bridge Inspection, Inc. We are a large civil engineering firm providing construction engineering inspection, in-service bridge inspection and design support. As a civil engineer and certified bridge inspector, I performed multiple in-service bridge inspection for major precast concrete segmental bridges. The inspections included visual, non-destructive inspection of major components. I assembled pre-inspection information, coordinated field crews, assembled inspection observations, tabularized maintenance items and provided work recommendations. I also prepared the initial reports, compiled and finalized review comments and submitted the final reports.Between inspections I worked on preliminary and final designs, provide design office support (DOS) and field inspection.I have led the Quality Assurance for major projects, coordinated design calculation checks and plan drawings checks from initial review to final approval.During design I calculated final bridge deck coordinates and post-tensioning pipe coordinates, developed casting and erection manuals, reviewed construction submittals, and checked calculations and drawings.Field work includes coordinating crews and work efforts including post-tensioning stressing and grouting operations, segment casting setup and post pour closeouts and other field activities.I also performed multiple in-service bridge inspection for major precast concrete segmental bridges including a cabled-stay bridge. The inspections included visual, non-destructive inspection of major components. I manage independent constructability reviews for preselected project structures, compiled the construction plans, specifications, Change of Plans, and Request for Information (RFI’s) used to create the models and perform the review. I also managed the 3D model production, reviewed contract drawings for consistency, compiled comments and prepared reports.
