Science was my first love in life and even after getting married and having children, it still remains in the top three, just don't ask me to say exactly where! With skills in troubleshooting, problem solving, design, analysis and logical reasoning, Engineering was my career field of choice before I even knew what it was. Now, I am a chasing my dreams as a student at UTC pursuing my B.S. in Computer Science, along with a Math minor. I graduated Cum Laude from Dalton State College in 2014 with my A.S. in Computer Science and moved on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for my B.S in Computer Science, which I obtained in 2017.I have professional experience working with the .NET framework, particularly coding in C# and VB, as well as front-end work with JavaScript (including frameworks such as React, Angular and JQuery), HTML and CSS and back-end coding in SQL and NoSQL databases.My academic experience is mainly in Java with a bit of PHP, HTML and MySQL thrown in as part of some Apache-based web app design.I have professional training and experience in leadership from previous work positions in various levels of management in both retail and in high-volume restaurants. I can both give and take direction when in stressful situations. I also believe that I have the ability to communicate complex ideas in simpler terms; this was learned in both professional and educational environments.I have strong mathematical and analytical skills and a passion for working and creating with technology. As a mature student, I feel that I am more driven and focused than my peers due to my desire to show my children that education is one of the most important factor in being successful in life.When I'm not at school or working, I can be found with my family enjoying board and video games, science fiction, gadgets, music or cooking in my lab (kitchen).
