I manage one of the most beautiful indoor ice facilities along the front range. My role as manager of the facility involves a variety of aspects including program development, personnel supervision, risk management, procurement, contract management, marketing, facility maintenance, capital improvement planning, ice time sales and facility scheduling, budget development, financial analysis, cost recovery, and customer relations. Additionally, I chair the organization's Website Committee and Cost Recovery Committee. I also serve as Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Rinks Association.

I managed a very unique and profitable outdoor ice facility for the City of Longmont that mirrored the operations of indoor facilities, unlike most outdoor rinks. Responsibilities included annual facility construction, program development, capital planning, financial analysis, facility maintenance, personnel management, public relations, media relations, and marketing

Provided contracted General Manager services for a Global Spectrum ice rink facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Position was interim until a person could be found to relocate to Cheyenne on a permanent basis, which I was unable to do. Upon my arrival to the facility, significant and immediate changes were needed to help ensure its survival. I instituted several changes including strict financial controls, improved preventative and daily maintenance procedures, restructured staffing levels, negotiated better terms with suppliers/facility groups/media, and revised operational policies. Though at the facility for a short time, I drastically improved the operation's overall culture.

General Manager of a new non-profit ice arena owned by the Boulder Valley Hockey Foundation. Performed all of the start-up functions of this facility including construction oversight, program development, human resource functions, marketing, community relations, procurement, policy and procedure development, investor relations, budget development, and contract management.

I was the Manager of the Casper Ice Arena for a period of eight years. This very beautiful facility experienced significant positive changes during my tenure. Budget expectations were markedly surpassed each year. Customer relations, which were very contentious prior to my arrival, were highly improved. The facility's infrastructure and amenities were in need of attention and a comprehensive capital projects plan was implemented to address these areas. I was awarded the Ice Skating Institute's Merit Award for career-long dedication to the promotion of ice sports.
