As the Executive Director at MESA, I lead a statewide program involving all segments of the California education system that provides academic support, enrichment, and exposure to STEM fields for underrepresented students in California. With over 25 years of experience in non-profit management, I have successfully secured funding, partnerships, and advocacy for our programs, as well as facilitated workshops and trainings for our staff, students, and educators. I am passionate about advancing educational equity and opportunity for low-income and first-generation college students, and have previously served as the Executive Director at First Graduate and the Chair of the Bay Area College Success Network. My core competencies include strategic planning, program development, stakeholder engagement, and team building. I seek challenges where I can leverage my skills and expertise to create positive social impact and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
