The centre supports future change-makers to solve complex global, regional and local challenges through research, engagement and consulting with higher education, scientific institutions, innovative ecosystems, growth-minded companies and entrepreneurial stakeholders. Knowledge resilience is the ability to adapt to and solve emerging complex challenges based upon evidence, insights and expertise. It is the foundation of an innovative, future-focused economy.

Working together with the CEO, we are overseeing the next phase in UIIN’s growth. Established in 2012, UIIN is a fast-growth European-based network which aims to contribute to the improvement of the relationships between university and industry. The network allows members as well as other professionals to share and exchange knowledge and information in various areas of university-industry interaction.

Worked within the Technology Commercialisation Group (TCG), a unique strategic consultancy unit focussed on supporting the commercialisation of research and technology. During my time within Deloitte, I worked with large organisations such as BAE Systems, SAAB, Queensland University of Applied Sciences (QUT), University of Adelaide, Adelaide Football Club and Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government on a range of commercialisation and innovation projects. In 2007, I was part of the executive team that a $AU2.1 million project to provide Business Information Mentoring And Advisory Services for Australian Capital Territory Government, which at the time, was the largest ever project won by the Australian Growth Solutions service line.

Chimo was a start-up web technology company in a fast growth phase, recognised by their listing in the Australian Business Review Weekly Fast 100 and Asiá Deloitte Tech Fast 50. Chimo consisted of 16 technology consultants who specialised in e-commerce transaction systems and enterprise content management. I directed business strategy and business development which included the acquisition of Chimo by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Australia. Within Deloitte I continued to oversee new business acquisition winning record large contracts with the Australian and South Australian Government as well as key clients like Elders.

Norwood FC is one of the most successful second division football clubs in Adelaide. The club itself had an average attendance of 5,000 people and a high profile in the South Australian market. I oversaw the marketing and business development area including sponsoring, fundraising, brand management and events achieving record figures and income levels as well as winning multiple marketing awards.
