Assisted a small, growing boutique, custom home builder to increase their sales volume by taking multiple projects and provided seasoned experience in coastal construction and FEMA construction guidelines. Project Manager/Site Superintendent for a custom home featured in a regional magazine; handled schedules, budgeting, contracted with trade partners and performed work as needed. • Increased sales volume from $8MM a year to $13MM in annual sales in 24 months• $2.5 MM Custom Home: 7 bedrooms, 8 baths, with a highly detailed custom pool and an expansive $100K landscape plan in a sensitive coastal area, featured in several, regional coastal real estate magazines. • Custom 6 home development: Average home price was $1.2MM with docks on the coastal waterway.

Assisted a Developer in an established community re-start its construction operations that were dormant during the Recession and economic downturn. Brought the company up to speed with modern construction practices; educated on costs, processes, and modern scheduling practices, and demanded a higher level of performance from sub-contractors. • Managed multiple new construction homes priced from $700K-$900K, all with pools in a golf course community.

Worked as a sub-contracted employee for a large commercial farming operation. Updated housing for farm employees that were dilapidated and in disrepair. Constructed out-buildings on farm property: barns, shed, maintenance buildings, and meeting rooms.

Completed a 25K sqft project commercial corporate headquarters for a nutritional supplement supplier after the first builder was removed from the project.

Co-owned a remodeling and construction business, with my primary responsibilities being managing the field work. My work included hands on carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical. In addition, I also scheduled work and managed sub-contractors.

Began my training as a frame and trim carpenter with a custom home builder. Our team was involved in all aspect of construction from shovel in the ground to owner walk through. The cost plus homes we built ranged in value from 1 to 5 million dollars. I was taught that quality work was the most important aspect of construction. These principles laid the foundation for my construction career.

I spent the first three years as a Patrol Officer before being promoted to the Detective Bureau and being assigned to the Narcotics Unit. While in Narcotics I made cases by developing leads, conducting investigations, writing warrants, executing searches, etc. I specialized in short term undercover investigations. One case I made had 34 defendants, all of whom eventually pled guilty to various charges. I received numerous commendations for my field work.
