The Virginia Department of Veterans Services has launched the Virginia Values Veterans Program to help Employers across the Commonwealth learn how to hire and retain an engaged workforce by recruiting transitioning Veterans and serving Guard and Reservists. This program has been endorsed by Governor McDonnell as an Economic Development initiative because this is not just another jobs program aimed at helping Vets find work. This program will educate Virginia’s Businesses how to re-energize their workforce by capitalizing on the talented men and women leaving the United States Military due to the downsizing of the Armed Forces. The Virginia Department of Veterans Services is offering a series of V3 Conferences around the Commonwealth as well as customized training and Vet Readiness Assessments to organizations who want to enter the V3 Certification Program. This program is free for participating organizations and will result in a targeted military recruiting model, shared best practices and lessons learned, and detailed information about each organization on the V3 website (www.virginiavaluesvets.com). This program will show employers how to activate their own Military Recruiting Network in order to utilize available resources and connect directly with Military job seekers. The overall goal of the Virginia Values Veterans Program is to empower Virginia’s businesses to recapitalize an aging workforce by creating their own Veteran Talent Acquisition and Retention Support Program based upon industry best practices and proven recruiting methods.

Contract and Subcontract Administration in support of various Qivliq subsidiary companies including Truestone, LLC, SAVA Solutions, LLC, and Nakuuruq Solutions, LLC which hold contracts with various Government Agencies including DoD, DoJ, DHS, US Navy, and USCG. Duties include cradle to grave contract administration of over 140 active Task Orders being performed by Truestone Maritime Operations alone; Coordinate contractual requirements and deliverables with Program Personnel to ensure compliance with Task Order Statements of Work; Project Setup for both Truestone Maritime Operations and Nakuuruq Solutions; performing contractual reviews of all RFPs and play an essential role in the Proposal Process; negotiate subcontract agreements and issue task orders to all subcontractors in accordance with FAR; maintain compliant files for DCAA/DCMA Audits and comply with auditor requests in a timely manner; daily interaction with both internal and external customers to meet operational needs.

Subcontract administration in support of more than 100 contracts in engineering, logistics, fleet, aviation, transportation/parking, HR services, IT and business transformation. Daily interaction with internal and external customers working closely with Contracts personnel to insure compliance with Prime Contracts and the FAR. Draft, negotiate and administer Consulting and Subcontract Agreements along with subsequent Task Orders. Provide direct support for the daily operations of all business divisions within the company. Submit Consent to Subcontract Packages to Contracting Officers in accordance with the FAR. Preparation for CPSR Audit. Mentoring junior administrators in day to day activities and training new employees. Expertise with the FAR and DFAR.

Draft, negotiate and administer NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts and Reseller Agreements. Cradle-to-grave management of prime contracts with GSA, DHS, DOD. Expertise with the FAR and DFAR.
