Tom has taken a short sabbatical from his usual CM roles to answer the call of a friend who owns Robomate. Robomate has recently experienced, and continues to experience immense growth. Tom joined Robomate to help redesign the business structures and carry out recruitment (people), implement a new stack of technology and migrate data (technology) and establish key workflows (process). Naturally this was done with key change principles in mind! As well as helping to prepare Robomate for its continued growth trajectory, he also helped run and manage the ongoing operation of the business which included a wide variety of activities from managing the amazing team, stock management, strategy planning and of course delighting the customers!

Tom thoroughly enjoyed his time at Air NZ, during which he worked with amazing people across a variety of tribes and squads. Some of the key work streams he contributed to were: Cyber and Identity Tribe Security Culture and Awareness Squad: Developed and deployed an initiative to mature Air NZs cybersecurity culture and awareness. This involved partnering with key areas of the business to meet individual needs as well as introduce a standardised method of measuring maturity across the org. Threat and Vulnerability Management Squad: Provided content and change strategy to help Air NZ develop it's understanding and practices around TVM. This included the deployment of a sophisticated monitoring tool and updated policy.Privileged Access Lifecycle Squad: carried out change impact assessments across Air NZ ahead of PAL implementation. Designed and delivered LMS training content as well as training workshops. MS Intune migration Squad: Managed communications and stakeholder engagement to support the business in migrating all corporate and personal devices with access to Air NZ data from Citrix to Microsoft Intune.SAP Database Upgrade: Managed organisation wide communications (multichannel) for a database upgrade project (including all comms during outage).Customer Touchpoints TribeNext Generation Disrupts Squad: Conducted business wide change impact assessments as part of a discovery phase for a programme of work that would see Air NZ completely revolutionise the way it manages customer travel disrupts.Customer Live Chat Squad: Supported an accelerated project to design and deploy customer live chat capability within Air NZ customer services. This included managing and carrying out critical change management activities within an aggressive timeline.

Provision of change management services to Lotto New Zealand within a programme of work to replace a major tier 1 business platform: - Designed and implemented a training programme across the business including inhouse training and remote training workshops for internal and external resources. - Managed internal project communications. - Managed business stakeholders and business readiness. - Risk management & programme reporting to Steering Committee

Tom was a soldier in the New Zealand Army within the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment. The experiences and challenges during this time allowed him to grow his skill sets, knowledge and personal character.

Tom was commissioned by Masterlink to provide analysis and review of key roles within the Masterlink business. This process involved investigating and analysing the processes and tasks performed by key roles through interviews. By gaining a high level insight into processes and functions of key roles Masterlink were better able to utilise their resources.

Tom assisted the Maori Language Commission with the implementation of an Information Management System. During this project Tom developed and delivered the change management strategy as well as guided the user acceptance testing to ensure the product would meet business requirements and improve staff adoption. This project was the first of its kind in NZ Government as a Kaupapa Maori led project. This exciting project had been designed and implemented around Kaupapa principles and protocols.

Tom was promoted through various roles during his time at Vitality Works, including managing national onsite health monitoring services, management of a national vaccination programme and ERP Implementation Manager. As a product owner/SME, Tom helped manage product enhancements alongside an external dev team. He also started building skills in data management and reporting on health data for key clients.
