Economic development consulting working in both the public and private sectors. Currently under contract with Rutherford County, NC to provide economic development services.

Goal is to bring increased industrial activity to the mountains of western North Carolina. To accomplish this, I must maintain knowledge and information about of the region to include the economic development community and the many assets western North Carolina has to offer. I must present this information through a variety of means including direct contacts with the economic development consulting community.

Overall objective was to help community realize the economic base had changed from being dominated by textiles. Major efforts to accomplish included the location of a major Facebook Data Center and the location of Horsehead Industries to the County. Facebook was the largest project in the history of Rutherford County and the largest investment in North Carolina in 2010 and Horsehead was the largest manufacturing investment in the history of Rutherford County and the largest manufacturing investment in 2011. From November 2010 through October 2011, total announced investment exceeded $1.25 billion dollars.

Directed a multi-functional organization for countywide economic development efforts

Several projects of significance were coordinated including Caterpillar, Continental Teves, Viscotec Automotive, Beiersdorph Jobst, Kimble Glass, BASF, Summitville Tile and Bauer Industries.
