Phases of work at WebPT:Phase I:- Hired on at WebPT to build out a reporting and analytics infrastructure to support enterprise reporting off of the internally developed Electronic Medical Records (EMR) product that WebPT offers.- Rapidly assessed the current environment, identified the key stakeholders and established the core business requirements in order of priority to then begin assessing the technology requirements against the budget we had for the project.- Evaluated various BI tools/platforms, database technologies and ETL tools to meet the business requirements all of which had to be cloud based.- Explicitly identified pre-existing KPIs as well as newly developed KPIsPhase II:- Established and prioritized a backlog of business defined features and reports to be incrementally delivered as the platform was built. - Expanded the size of the team to include BI Developers and AnalystsProvided both technical and non-technical documentation detailing the design and major gaps that required more discussion and/or requirements gatheringPhase III:- Worked through the initial backlog of requests and partnered with our product team to define the overall roadmap and prioritization of new requests coming into the team.- Established a KPI monitoring processes to ensure we knew of material changes in the metrics before our users did. Phase IV:- Spearheaded the effort to establish a corporate data governance program- Identified key stakeholders and prioritized their issues related to governance- Evaluated numerous tools to assist in the definition and long term maintenance of our golden definition of dataPhase V;- Re-evaluated out data warehousing strategy and determined that Snowflake was a better solution to meet our future grown and the needs of our enterprise members desire for direct data access- Evaluated numerous ETL/ELT tools before selecting Matillion as the front runner- Ported all vertica objects and processes to Matillion/Snowflake- Began decommissioning legacy technology as it was replaced by the new platform
