Precast of Box girders, Pier shafts, Peir Caps, Retaining wall Blocks, Road Kerbs, Crash Barriers among others.- The precast box girders were of four types with different lengths between 27m to 33m depending on the skew angle of the box girder (< 15°, =15°, >15° - <30°, =30°). Selected bridges had pile foundations while others had pad footing foundations embedded on rock. The box girders were placed into position span by span using crawler cranes and gantry cranes.My roles and Responsibilities included;• Supervision of construction of all interchanges, bridges and retaining walls along the Right of Way.• Ensuring that the Precast girders and concreted properly according to the specifications.• Ensuring that post tensioning is done after the precast box girders attain their required strength.• Close monitoring of the progress of works by the contractor and his adherence to the PoW provided.• Supervision of bridge deck rebar installations, concrete casting, water proofing and laying of Asphalt Concrete (AC) • Writing daily reports which included the extent of work as per that day• Concrete quality control – though conducting compressive strength of concrete cubes, slump tests and giving recommendations.

It consists of bored cast in place pile foundations, concrete sub structures i.e. abutments, modular steel girder superstructure with a reinforced concrete deck. - LOMUT Bridge is a 70m clear span Composite bridge. It consists of bored cast in place pile foundations, concrete sub structures i.e. abutments, modular steel girder superstructure with a reinforced concrete deck. - Both bridges had approach roads totaling to 500m and 800m in length for Wei Wei & Lomut bridges respectively. The general cross section includes; subgrade material fill, sub base consisting of cement improved gravel & Graded Crushed Stone (GCS) and 50mm thick Asphalt Concrete base. Surface dressing using 10/14 pre coated chippings was done later. My roles and responsibilities included;• Design of 2No. concrete crossing drifts at Marich Pass River and Wei Wei river to facilitate the crossings of heavy machines, since the existing bailey bridges could sustain a maximum weight of 10T• Checking and ensuring that all the shop drawings are in order.• Assist the Engineer in carrying out design reviews.• Preparation of project briefs for both bridges to be used in Technical Meetings.• Checking and confirming Interim Payment Certificates (IPC) and Fee Notes. • Writing minutes during site meetings.• Inspecting and ensuring all the Rebars are in place according to the drawing specifications before concreting.• Concrete quality control – though conducting compressive strength of concrete cubes, slump tests and giving recommendations.• Inspection of the steel modular parts and ensuring that all steel components are available.• Ensuring that all safety protocols & measures put in place are adhered to during all construction activities
