Designed and detailed a tracked thermal shroud door assembly with a cam mechanism to assure constant static bend radius on flexhose components for a thermal cycling vacuum test chamber. Reduced other feedthru assembly components by 67 percent. These innovative approaches saved thousands of dollars by eliminating costly vacuum vessel feedthrus and penetrations. Layout and retrofit a 10% larger compressor into existing design of previously built equipment skid without increasing envelope size. This saved hundreds of engineering hours, allowing use of existing fabrication drawings.Conceptualized, Designed and Detailed LN2 shroud cold trap baffles and structural support system in an existing 30-ft spherical vacuum chamber; The installation was completed ahead of schedule due to versatility of support system, which was designed to incorporate tolerances of existing conditions. Was team leader of design team efforts of a CCS project for Los Alamos National Laboratory, a $7 million project. Directed work efforts of four people. Detailers of structural and miscellaneous steel for the construction industry. Designed and detailed embedded Unistrut medical equipment track system for St. Marys Hospital, Dayton Ohio. Completed fabrication and erection drawings of tubular steel limestone support girt system from incomplete conceptual design drawings. This required constant liaison with contractors of all disciplines. Directed and participated in drafting efforts for the expansion; The project was very fast track, requiring good planning to insure meeting target dates. Traveled to jobsite to prove and solve construction errors. This eliminated thousands of dollars in back charges to the fabricator.

Designed and assisted in the development of standard product cryopumps, arrays and vacuum shells for cryopumps. Incorporated options and size changes with a minimal amount of drafting by using tabulation and other techniques. These products became a large source of revenue for the company. Made design layouts, trained and supervised work efforts of two people within the group toward the completion of manufacturing drawings of the 40-foot diameter Mil-Star nitrogen shroud system for Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. This was two thirds of a $5 million, 2-year project for CVI.
