CurrentImproved by 500% machine image success over previous system imaging system.Using .NET C# and Powershell, built Microsoft’s Identity’s (MSODS subsystem’s) imaging platform. System designed to provide high scale bare-metal machine imaging services. MSODS has approximately 10k bare-metal servers, which implement the identity service (used when users sign into any Microsoft product/service). Project used C# and Powershell to build programs and components for the imaging system. Wrote an Agent-based backend and frontend to automatically adjust numerous config settings as we rotated passwords for security. Development of tools and techniques to keep Chassis Manager devices healthy and collect real time system data; system had over 500 of these enterprise control modules (they enable remote kvm services on the 10k servers) and are critical for management of the servers. Supported work as SME of Imaging for the entire department and 2 vendor organizations. Remote admin of servers. D.R. planning.Lead and SME DRI on all Imaging for Microsoft Identity Imaging Service.Project lost funding as we migrated the last bare metal resources from Identity Service to Azure, to get better velocity in spinning up Identity in new geo regions as azure has a pre-established footprint in all DCs and can dynamically free resources if load drops significantly. The bare metal platform tooling built was akin to a “mini azure” and could spin up fully imaged machine instances in the DCs where we seeded the 10k bare metal servers that were formerly used.Updated some tools written in golang to move files to and from azure.Tools utilized: C#, PowerShell, SqlServer, kusto, windows server, Linux, OWIN Asp.net Restful interfaces, windows services, git, azure messaging queues, storage spaces, and azure vms, VM(s) based on hyper-v, modern SDLC test driven styling, ARM templates, Active Directory, containers, VSRM, ICM, Python, Java, Golang.
