Collaborate with academic deans and other leaders under the Provost’s Office to ensure alignment with the academic plan and support their aspirations. Oversee academic program development and governance, academic units and programs under the Provost’s office, institutional assessment and evaluation, and the Office of the Registrar. Partner closely with Global University System leaders and support units to launch and sustain academic programs at all campus locations. Nurture educational partnerships with other institutions for expanded student opportunities.

Research, teaching, scholarship and service activities. Primary author of "An Introduction to Geotechnical Engineering (3rd edition) by Holtz, Kovacs and Sheahan, Pearson Prentice-Hall, 2023, and over 90 other publications.

Oversee academic program development, governance and inter-college coordination, program assessment integration, and university-wide curricular initiatives. In addition, supervises academic units and programs under the Provost’s office such as ROTC, Explore and General Studies Program. Responsible for Office of the Registrar and programmatic interactions with Northeastern's Global University System.

Responsible for a broad range of academic and operational activities for 4000 undergraduate and 4000 graduate students, including: programmatic offerings, curricular initiatives, student support and advising, cooperative education, and budget oversight under a hybrid responsibility-centered management (RCM) model. Supervise facilities and space management, and college-based computing resources.

Managed personnel and logistics to carry out construction activities in support of deployed and U.S.-based military units and installations.
