Other independent publications include Care Select, Care Management Matters, Progress and My Child & Me.General duties consisted of:- Designing adverts for clients using any images, text and logos they had supplied- Liaising directly with the client to ensure the advert was accurate and fulfilled their brand identity- Assisting in creating a brand or logo if the client was new to or unaware of branding strategies- Chasing up renewal orders by proofing out old artwork from the previous directories- Ensuring all adverts had been officially signed off by order contact before publication- Preparing adverts so that they were high resolution, CMYK, print ready pdfs- Organising server folders so that the production designers could easily find & drop the adverts into publications- Updating the production manager through weekly meetings with progress of sign off of adverts to ensure publishing deadlines were met.Additional jobs:- Subject to time, create larger adverts than the client initially ordered to generate advertisement upgrades- Use existing publications as a template to create the Bedfordshire Care Services Directory 2013/14, in correspondence with requests and meeting notes from the appropriate councils- Use data from the Care Quality Commission to create listings within the directory- Check data provided by the CQC was correct in terms of the care categories that care homes and home care providers catered for and also general contact information- Use the branding of Care Select (independent publication) to create a double sided A5 flyer, due for insertion in the regional directories- Use page suite to modify or replace pages that needed correcting on the eBook versions of the regional directories.
