At The Ohio State University's Outdoor Adventure Center I have earned my way up through the ranks in many areas of focus. I started out, as all new hires do, as a Climbing Instructor. From there I became involved in the Clinics Program, Adventure Trips Program, and the Equipment Room. In each respective area, I was diligent in my progression. For the Trips Program I have provided leadership for both weekend and extended trips. My skill mastery and passion is mostly concentrated in backpacking and mountain biking, but am also proficient in leading canoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, and winter backpacking.In the Clinics Program, I shadowed Belay Clinics until I was able to teach them in a professional manner. I earned my spot teaching Slacklining. I also designed my own clinics based upon my knowledge and passion for sharing my survival skills as well as my knowledge and passion for mountain biking. The clinics are one to two hours long and aim to promote the Outdoor Adventure Center's mission. My involvement in the Equipment Room began when I started working for the program cleaning and maintaining the Rental and Trips Program equipment. When the opportunity opened up for Equipment Room Supervisor, I jumped at the opportunity to interview for the position and was awarded with it once I was found to be an advantageous fit for the position. The next year, the Equipment Room Coordinator position needed to be filled and I made sure I was first in line to be considered for the job. Upon a successful interview and judgement of my vision for the position, I was awarded the advancement. Being the Equipment Room Coordinator is my primary position as of now. I get the privilege of working with my assistant in the Equipment Room Supervisor position to provide the vision, employee training, goal setting, and facilitating the maintenance/repair of the Rentable and Trips specific equipment.

As the Outdoor Pursuits Supervisor for The Ohio State University at Marion, I oversaw, planned and lead day trips, planned an adventure race, set for the rockwall, and helped teach the experiential portions of the climbing, backpacking, and skiing classes.
