Conduct, plan and execute complex field surveys, compile data and conduct a resource analysis for inclusion into technical revegetation, mitigation and conservation planning reports. Research, prepare, review, and analyze complex technical reports for compliance with CEQA/NEPA, CESA/ FESA and Section 7 as well as many biologically related state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to transportation projects. Complete analysis to study Caltrans project impacts on climate change and resiliency as well as sea level rise. Assist the division on completing environmental and biological analysis with a diverse range of projects.Liaison with federal, State, and local regulatory entities, including the USFWS, CDFW, NMFS, USFS and USACE, MTC, BCDC and CCC for coordination, consultation and compliance with various environmental and biological regulations.Review project plans specifications and estimates and ensure biological commitments are included in the packages throughout the project development process. Monitor and oversee consultant biological monitors to meet conditions set forth in project plans and permits. Write and review monitoring reports and ensures they are submitted to partner regulatory agencies in compliance with all permits and agreements. Conducts environmental education programs for project contractors. Enforce environmental laws and regulations in coordination with Caltrans plans and specifications. Participate in technical and coordination meetings, including periodic coordination meetings with Caltrans and state and federal agency partners, including but not limited to SF bay area agencies such as BACTA, MTC, BCDC, BATA and ABAG. Conduct oversight of consultant's work performance, and document review. Participate in project development team meetings. Represent Caltrans at public meetings.

• Lead project transition to construction. Analyzes project issued Permits, Licenses, Agreements, and Certifications (PLACs) for consistency and conformity. Identifies PLAC terms or conditions that negatively affect project construction cost, scope, or schedule.• Prepare documents and tools for tracking compliance with PLACs. Review project environmental compliance reports for potential or realized violations of PLACs. Meet with Caltrans Resident Engineers to address and correct compliance deficiencies in a timely manner. Provide technical assistance and recommendations to the Resident Engineer to avoid violations of PLAC terms and conditions. Cooperates with other function units responsible for construction site monitoring.• Perform field inspections of construction sites. Attend construction meetings. Review construction schedules for activities requiring a biological monitor. Oversee consultant monitoring efforts and serve as designated point of contact for biology contract consultants, Engineers, inspectors, project manager, and agency staff. • Review contract change orders, contractor submittals, and other construction documents for consistency with PLACs. Maintain environmental database for projects in construction. Prepare informal and formal communications with resource agency staff. Consults with resource agency staff to obtain variances or exceptions to PLAC conditions. • Assists in delivering Certification of Environmental Compliance. Identifies PLAC commitments and requirements that extend beyond construction contract acceptance. Notifies agencies of construction milestones as conditioned in PLACs

Introduced an effort to collect recyclables during Mari Gras festivities. Coordinated with Mardi Gras staff and police department to place recycling bins throughout downtown Galveston. Established the project, made connections with the Mardi Gras production team, found the materials necessary for collection, and delegated volunteer responsibilities.
