He consolidated the two under one roof and operated them together for two years.Running these businesses provided Tom with a lot of challenges for which his MBA and corporate experience were of little use. This post post graduate education was critical to Tom's transition into working with small business owners in his role as Vistage Chair.

After a stint in field sales, he moved into management and had a hand in developing a number of products that remain best sellers to this day. He sees his "WET FLOOR" signs and janitor carts every time he passes through an airport.Tom moved up through the organization until he was running the Office Products Div. It is from there that he was recruited to join AMF and assist in their turnaround.
