About Tony Gregory

Driven and ambitious professional with the taught ability to adapt and learn differing roles and responsibilities. I am employed by the Environment Agency in a role responsible for managing Flood and coastal risk projects, with the aim of bringing about positive change. I liaise closely with Public bodies, private companies, Partners and the Public, to give advice on planning applications, and environmental grounds. I graduated with 1st class honours in BSc (hons) Geography and Environmental Management having attended UWE, Bristol. My skills, passion and future ambitions lie within Property, construction, surveying, energy, Waste, , Project management, and Environmental regulation. I am adaptable and willing to throw myself into unfamiliar territory in order to learn and succeed.

    My role is divided into two; the first is to manage and supervise 15 telephone canvassers whilst they phone various graduates to complete questionnaire documents. The canvassers must be kept motivated, trained and coached in order to meet set targets; it is my job to make sure the survey targets are met as they are instrumental in formulating where the university sits in the Guardian University league tables. Duties include:- Administrative research into graduate destinations- Deal with more detailed or complex inquiries and refer to Careers staff as required- Monitor timekeeping, work rate and response quality of the canvassing team and feedback to the careers co-ordinator- Provide quality control checks; Check completed questionnaires for accuracy, completeness and legibility, ensuring that key information (e.g., Job Titles and Job descriptions, and salaries) is recorded wherever possible. If there are issues then i must communicate with employees and staff in order to resolve them.- Deal personally with more complex coding and data validation queries.- Abide by University legal protocol; ensuring that student personal data, documentation and the workplace are kept secure during and on completion of canvassing sessions in accordance with UWE Data Protection requirements.The second part of my job is Careers placement coordinator; this involves navigating various pathways in order to organize, edit and complete different documents whilst liaising with employers and students.
