My education in industrial and manufacturing design allows for a broad spectrum skill set perfectly suited for design and production from start to finish. This knowledge allows for a hybrid marriage of mechanical conceptual design, with a focus on optimization and streamlined efficiency, to ease in project manufacturing and development. My interests span from development to deployment of signature systems, including conceptual design development, mechanical design modeling and simulation, technical design and structural analysis, fluid analysis, fabrication of prototypes, and field deployment and testing. My combination of hands-on and technical experience enables me to synergistically work in design and production environments that enable efficient and effective completion of program objectives. I have expertise in the following specific areas:• Technical skills include mechanical and structural design, design for manufacturing and assembly, modelling (SolidWorks 2000-2018) and simulation (SolidWorks Simulation Advanced Professional, Strand 7, Nastran DDAM), as well as mechanical drafting and drafting management (Enterprise PDM ).• Experienced as both integration and hardware Integrated Product Team Lead for NAVAIR programs (IPT Lead 2009-2012).• Experienced with cultivation and material presentation for NAVAIR Preliminary and Critical Design Review (PDR, CDR). • Design, manufacturing and field experience with air, land and sea combat systems. • Combat system field testing for track and wheeled signature systems.• Military Standard environmental testing using design of experiment methods, mechanical apparatus design, data collection, data reduction, and report writing.• Mechanical design of stand-alone static and dynamic structures.• Composite panel design, analysis, and production. Production processes include infusion, hand lay-up, and press form techniques.
