Working a continental shift system with a team of highly trained mechanical and electrical professionals, where team playing is vital to the day to day maintenance and production of the company.

Primarily responsible for the day to day production in a fast moving modern food factory,producing vacuum sealed tray meals,various size canned products,hot dog sausages,and vacuum sealed pouch meals,these products are produced on machines from Metal Box,Pro Seal,Toyo Jidoki,Handtmann,and many ancillaries which include;Kettle's by Gusti,meat processing machines by Wolfking,fillers by Multipond and Foodmech,weighing stations by Yamato,Thermo Scientific checkweighers,coders by Videojet,and many more.My role includes fault diagnostics and repair to achieve maximum production /quality .on all plant machineryAs an ongoing engineering tool we use the pirana software which allows us to plan and implement our extensive planned preventative maintenance schedule within our production roles.

Working within the bindery department but sometimes covering in the press rooms,ensuring breakdowns are dealt with swiftly so publication times can be met.All Muller Martini stitching lines were installed and commissioned by the engineering department and the frontline p.p.m. system was used to allow us to maintain these, and other paper handling machinery to a high standard.

Arriving in January from Tufcon Ltd.after a two week holiday to an empty factory just outside Goole, our brief was simple, plan out the floor space, paint decorate and install all services, for three state of the art Bekum Blowmoulding machines,the order had been placed prior to xmas and the first one was in route from Germany.the machines were installed and commissioned and production began straight away, i was responsible for training the technicians in blowmoulding skills once they had passed the interview level.i managed the production side as well as the engineering side for four years, making a profit in what was known as the darkest years in business. sadly the company backing us failed to make it through the recession and we had to sell up and move on.

First job out of secondary school,started 3 year apprenticeship at Yorkshire Coast College for Mechanical Engineering,while working within the technical department learning the processes of plastic blowmoulding and plastic injection moulding, took on night classes at same college for extra qualifications.Tufcon Ltd.was a great learning platform covering most engineering practice.After five years promoted to Shift Manager,reporting to the Factory Manager,predominantly from the Engineering department but responsible for the production, quality and H.R working three shift system.After 10 years i left Tufcon to better my prospects .
