After interning and working with its founders since 1997 at their previous company, Winter Construction, Tony Watson joined The Blue River Group in August of 2004. Over the past ten years, Tony developed a strong background in the implementation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as other field management challenges. Tony is an extremely well organized and communicative project superintendent.As project superintendent, Tony is responsible for the on-site construction activities on a daily basis. His responsibilities include the following: • Implementing and assists developing the construction plan • Managing subcontractor’s activities • Assuring construction compliance with design and quality requirements • Supervising and coordinating field engineering and construction activities • Managing safety and environmental programs • Assuring compliance to project construction schedule and budget • Providing on-site coordination of the commissioning process when applicable.Tony has a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has current certification as a LEED Green Associate. He also has current training as an NPDES Level 1A Qualified Person, an OSHA’s 10 Hour Certification, S.T.A.R.T. (Supervisor Training in Accident Reduction Techniques), and certification in First Aid/CPR. Tony also has received training and is qualified as an OSHA Competent Person for Trenching/Excavation, Fall Protection and Scaffolding.Tony also represents The Blue River Group through Community Involvement by participating in a mission trip called World Changers since 2002. World Changers is sponsored by the North American Mission Board where volunteer high school and college students perform various service projects in over 80 cities throughout North America.
