Tony White is a British Academy Award-winning director, animator, author, board game designer and educator living, working and teaching in Seattle. In addition to being founder of the emerging 2D ACADEMY, Tony is also the founder of the "MY ANIMATOR'S SKETCHCLUB" - a new community network for animators around the world. Tony is especially passionate about traditional hand-drawn animation and seeks to bring recognition to the past, present and the future of this unique artform around the world. The network is a perfect home for animators everywhere - offering classes, courses, events and its own social network for chatting and sharing. The network also supports its own unique "DRAWTASTIC Animation Festival".As a professional animator Tony won a BAFTA for his first animated short film, "HOKUSAI ~ An Animated Sketchbook", has created over 200 TV commercials (many award-winning); 2 TV Specials, several Short Films and was responsible for the awarded The Pink Panther Strikes Again movie titles. Tony has also written many successful books on animation, some of which have been translated into several languages and are used as textbooks around the world. His most recent book, "The Animator's Sketchbook", was published by Focal Press and is the foundation of his new "Drawing for Animation" online course on the MY ANIMATOR'S SKETCHCLUB network.
