Tony Morelli is a 33-year veteran of the IT industry and has over 26 years of experience with the BMC Control-M family of products and related competitive toolsets. He has held leadership, technical and global marketing roles at BMC Software and has supported the sale, implementation and deployment and post-implementation optimization of enterprise workload automation and orchestration solutions for organizations of all size across every major market segment. He began his career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1986 where he rose to the role of System Programmer and served as a lead technical resource on the implementation of BMC Control-M across multiple data centers in 1992. He joined BMC Software (via New Dimension Software) in 1994 as a Senior Consultant and was tasked with the creation of the Commercial Division of INCONTROL Professional Services team in 1997. In 2002 Tony joined the Control-M and Control-D Business Unit as a Global Product Manager. In this role he was responsible for sales support, field enablement, market and competitive analysis, creation of thought leadership content, business case development and delivery of customer facing presentations in support of competitive replacement initiatives. Tony joined Cetan Corp, an Elite BMC Partner in 2011 as Vice President of Solutions Delivery and Marketing where he is responsible for the sale and delivery of all Professional Services related activities including the management of the Professional Services team. Tony also provided support to organization’s license sales efforts and corporate marketing initiatives. Tony has spoken at industry trade shows such as AFCOM’s Data Center World and has published articles on Workload Automation in technical magazines such as z/Journal and Mainframe Executive. He has presented at Global User Conferences such as BMC Engage and CA World as well as a multitude of Control-M User Group and other client events.
