As a studio technician at The Hit Factory, I was responsible for the calibration of SSL 9000J consoles, ProTools recording rigs, AD/DA converters, and 2-track and 24-track tape machines to MRL specifications.I was also responsible for the daily maintenance of 5 world-renowned state-of-the-art recording studios, which included inspections and maintenance of George Augspurger mains and Yamaha NS10 and Genelec mini speakers.In addition to maintenance and quality assurance, I conducted technical trouble-shooting to diagnose, repair, or replicate problems and issues related to ProTools and HD plugins and Outboard analogue gear, corrected Time Code synchronization, aligned Studer and/or Ampeg tape machines, and identified console-signal flow mapping. While at The Hit Factory, I assisted in installing of the then-brand-new SSL AWS900 and SSL's flagship 48-channel Solid State Logic Duality console.A large part of my role involved reassuring our clients, to allow them to feel well attended to.
