As a licensed teacher, I am certified in Elementary Education Grades K-6, ESOL K-12, and Mathematics Grades 5-9. I have demonstrated thorough knowledge of scientifically-based curriculum/instructional research, data manipulation, analysis and interpretation skills and exemplary practices in effective teaching. I possess a strong knowledge base in working with adult learners, documented skills in designing and delivering professional development for teachers, and experience in providing effective instructional coaching.Most recently, I implemented a school-wide math intervention program, researched and designed engaging first grade curriculum, and mentored 12 teachers in the ACE Professional Development Certification Program.Previously as a teacher, I developed and implemented engaging curriculum that resulted with a math proficiency increase of 45%. I motivated students to read independently each month resulting in an Accelerated Reader increase of 634%. I was also awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year.
