    I am constantly seeking fundraising ideas for the school, looking at Bids and Grants to improve school facilities! I maintain overall management of finances for the school including banking and reconciliation, management of the charity account and involvement in setting up the PTA and Finance Committee, ensuring debts are chased up in a timely and effective manner, line manager to 2 Finance Assistants. I am also part of the HR team and assist with the recruitment process which includes advertising vacancies, sending out recruitment packs, interview selection process, reference requests, organising and conducting of interviews, DBS checks ensuring new recruits are set up for pay. I also manage the extra hours payroll on a monthly basis.

    In November 2010 I gained a Certificate in School Business Management and a Diploma in Business Administration through working at Ellesmere Port Catholic High School. My main responsibilities are: Set up and operate procedures and systems, including filing and recording systems, to ensure the efficient administration of the Key Stage. Design and check documentation to meet quality and standard required by the Head of Key Stage, including certificates/letters of commendation. Advise staff and students of policies and procedures and respond to general queries from Key Stage students. Update and extract pupil information from computerised (SIMS) and manual systems and provide accurate and up to date information for management including registration management. Assist with awareness raising initiative and assist student/staff as appropriate to the Key Stage. Organise and prepare letters to parents for educational reasons and educational and social trips. Undertake a range of office duties including word processing, filing, photocopying, diary management, distribution and franking of mail. Act as telephonist/receptionist to ensure all queries are handled appropriately and ensuring a professional image is portrayed at all times. To make appointments as necessary for the Key Stage pastoral staff. Provide First Aid as required to students, staff and visitors to the school and administering medicines as required. To ensure Common Transfer Forms and pupil data is sent and received for pupils transferring in/out of the school. To ensure absence monitoring is kept up to date and ensure registers are checked daily and late pupils recorded. To administer the reporting, monitoring and assessment procedures. To produce reports for staff as requested. To act as liaison between pupils, staff, parents and visitors. Provide general administrative support to colleagues in the office as requested. Upload and maintain the Parent Gateway.
