With a 25 year professional background both in provider and commissioning organisations, as a clinician, senior clinical leader and commissioner of Cancer and EOL services, I have an excellent skill set, experience and track record in leading and delivering complex strategic planning and redesign across cancer and EOL programme areas. This positions me well to support system level improvement across a wide geography, alongside partners, to maximise outcomes in cancer and EOL as outlined in national and local strategies. As a team player, with a strong focus on partnerships and relationships across organisations, excellent communication skills and an understanding of professional and organisational agendas including current policy I have demonstrable success working across organisational boundaries, managing large budgets and staff numbers, delivering service excellence within tight constraints and achieving improved services combined with cost cutting measures.I adopt a 'can-do' attitude and will introduce totally new practices in order to achieve challenging goals. I recently have received a Macmillan fellowship and Macmillan Professional Award for Integrated working in recognition of my personal, professional and strategic skills for progressing significant innovative improvement in cancer and EOL services. The fellowship is a prestigious award recognised for those that set the highest standards in their work. I will always lead by example and have a strong focus on developing, motivating and empowering others to lead. With commercial responsibility for the largest sector in commissioning my objective is to move to a more strategic directorship role.
