I’m a Diné Artist and Footwear Designer breaking barriers in the Fashion industry to create authenticrepresentation for Indigenous communities. I am currently a full-time designer at Manitobah and before that worked in the Sportwear industry for over 5 years as a Graphic and footwear designer. In my previous role at Nike not only did I design the shoes and apparel for the N7 collections, but I also created the storytelling direction for the product narratives. I’ve told stories of Intergenerational healing through Indigenous plants, honoring our modern matriarchs through Diné rug weaving, and sustainability through the art of basketry. I weave Indigenous-TEK into all my innovation to modernize Indigenous fashion and cater to Indigenous People’s foot anatomy. My community is at the center of all my work, and am working to break stereotypes that negatively impact my community. Representation matters and I’m using art and design to create space for Indigenous peoples in the Fashion Industry.

I’m a multidisciplinary Indigenous artist who uses sneakers, paint, beadwork, and jewelry as their mediums. I’m a full time Footwear Designer and create artwork in my free time. This site is a place I share my sneaker work, paintings, and jewelry I make/sell in my shop. I am passionate about design, fashion, and my culture and want to use Rezilient Soles platform to show the intersectionality of the three. I hope to challenge stereotypes and create new and authentic representation through art for the Indigenous community.

I've been leading design for the N7 brand within PURPOSE since 2018. As the first Indigenous designer dedicated to N7 my job is to focus on authentic representation through storytelling. I work with the Indigenous community to tell stories that are not heard outside of the community. As designer I support these stories through graphics, color, materials, and design. Graphic Design InternNike Jun 2017 - Aug 2017NikeImmediately after graduating I interned at Nike as an N7 Graphic Design Intern. My project for my internship was to work with a Nike ambassador and create the graphic story influenced by them. I created the graphic story for men's and women's apparel and footwear. I worked directly with the ambassador to learn their background and story for inspiration for the graphic story. I worked with current Nike designers from the Jordan team to design the Jordan footwear in the collection. I met frequently with Sam McCracken (founder of the N7 brand), Jordan designers, and the North America team to present my designs and discuss any changes or additions. I used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create the digital designs and mock ups. The collection will be released nationwide in November 2018.

Lead Designer365 Native Apr 2017 - Aug 2017Portland, Oregon AreaFor my Product Design studio class my classmate and I created our own business to create authentic Native American Urban Fashion. We worked with a local tribe of Oregon to story tell their tribes individuality of culture and history. We created the brand to abolish stereotypes and misconceptions society has of Native Americans and educate them of each tribes culture, heritage, and traditional designs. We want to instill confidence and pride into today's Natives by keeping their traditions alive by modernizing them into current fashion trends. We worked with the Klamath tribe to create backpacks that embraced their traditional basket designs and materials used in the past such as leathers and wool. We are currently in the process of collaborating with a larger Native based company to design backpacks with them.
