Tracy Baker is a business founder, entrepreneur and communications specialist with 25 years of experience working in the luxury goods, advertising and public relations industries with some of the world's most prestigious brands. Tracy started her career working in advertising for multinational agencies Leo Burnett and McCann-Erickson where she learned the transformative power of great ideas, strategy and collaboration.After 10 years Tracy left the advertising industry to pursue a career in fashion. She held senior marketing and communications roles with luxury brands GUCCI and Yves Saint Laurent, before moving to MYER to head the company's public relations and events division. In 2008 Tracy founded luxury communications agency Baker Brand Image & Public Relations which crafted corporate reputations and award-winning campaigns for blue-chip companies including Westfield, News Corp, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Bonds, Sheridan, Oroton and Barbie (Mattel).Identifying a gap in the market for a creative communications agency bespoke to the high-end shelter category, Tracy founded The Nines in 2024. The Nines works with brands and individuals in the luxury lifestyle, design and property industries, specialising in strategy, public relations, digital, creative and integrated marketing.
