I have worked in commissioning for over 5 years. I have worked in both Adults and Children & Families Commissioning. I have also undertaken the Institute of Public Care's Certificate in Commissioning and Purchasing for Public Care (Post Graduate, Level 7) and achieved a 'Distinction'.I am passionate about improving the lives of children, young people and families and strive to make a difference in all that I do. To really make a difference, we need to understand the needs of children and young people and work in partnership with strategic partners, providers and stakeholders. I enjoy engagement with stakeholders and I am committed to relationship-based commissioning to ensure a joined up approach. I believe that this creates the best results for children, young people and families. I have a particular passion for ensuring the voice of the child is heard in all of the work that we do. I enjoy engagement with children, young people and families to ensure that their experiences are heard and listened to and the services we commission are what they want and need, not just what we think they need. I work hard to ensure everything that is done is done to a meticulously high standard and in line with our values, ethos and strategic direction, with Children and Families at the heart of it.
