Experienced commercial litigator and non-profit legal and policy consultant on environmental law and policy, civil rights, immigration and voting rights. Tracy practiced commercial litigation for ten years at prominent NYC law firms, including LeBeouf, Lamb, Green and MacRae, where she participated in all aspects of state and federal litigation. Tracy worked on numerous commercial arbitrations, learning vital mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.After taking leave from practice, Tracy became active in her community through PTA, Temple, and Town leadership positions. As a result of a longstanding interest in global affairs, Tracy obtained a Master's of Science in Global Affairs from NYU (concentration in energy and environmental policy).For the last fifteen years, Tracy continued social justice and human rights advocacy providing countless pro bono hours to a number of impactful civil rights non-profits. She also represents clients on asylum and immigration matters with local nonprofit Neighbors Link. Passionate about theater and the impact of theater and the Arts on children, Tracy is the chair of the Board of TheatreWorks USA.Tracy is most passionate about environmental policy. She works on behalf of Environmental Law Institute's environmental peacebuilding initiatives and leads ELI's study on the "green resource curse" - a study addressing a peaceful transition to a green economy in the developing world. She has assisted NY League of Conservation Voters in local policy recommendations and worked with NYU's Institute for Policy Integrity on drafting public comments to administrative agencies. Tracy enjoys membership on a number of non-profit boards, where she is responsible for a number of important initiatives, including organizing programs, engaging stakeholders, fundraising, grant writing, community organizing, and nonprofit initiatives to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. Through her many years of policy, litigation and Board work, Tracy has enjoyed engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders, and has served on UJA Federation of NY's Board to support its social services throughout NY.As part of her early commitment to human rights, Tracy worked in South Africa on their historic Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
