As Director of Operations in a lean culture that required each of the 50+ employees to take individual responsibility and ownership over their sphere, my role was to guide and enable the various teams that kept our solar projects moving from the initial contract through final installation, as well as post installation service and monitoring. I provided support and helped coordinate across all teams - sales, customer communications, design & permitting, warehouse, scheduling, installation, and service. My job was to ensure they had what they needed to do their work effectively, while identifying areas for improvement, analyzing processes and implementing streamlined practices. Ultimately, I optimized operations by tapping into our employees' expertise, motivations, and creative potential within our non-hierarchical structure. This people-centric approach delivered meaningful, sustainable improvements while staying true to our values of distributed leadership and treating employees as stakeholders in our collective success. Key Accomplishments: -Designing and implementing a warehouse based job packing and support system that allowed installation teams to 100% focus on installing solar and ushered in the era of “one day installs” -Managing the logistics and installation of the largest projects in the company’s history - 500kw-1.5mw ballasted roof top systems - while delivering above average profits and labor efficiency in a challenging market sector. -Designing and managing the build out of a new facility, as well the move to the new building. In addition to an enormous improvement in operational efficiency in the new space, during the transition we saw zero noticeable impact to installation flow or company profitability, despite a warehouse-intensive operations structure that re-loads trucks every night for 6 installation crews.

Perform all duties related to custom woodworking projects, including design, ordering materials,fabrication, and installation as well as client meetings, estimates and cost tracking.

Build custom furniture and oversee shop operations for a wholesale shop producing unique turquoiseinlaid mesquite furniture, bowls, and kitchen accessories for national distribution.

Field supervisor for native plant revegetation contracts across the Northern Rocky Mtn. Region. Projects included native grassland seeding with farm equipment, as well as complex native plant establishment schemes in a variety of riparian restoration projects. Projects required onsite design, implementation, and maintenance of large scale, temporary irrigation. The position involved managing labor crews for planting and irrigation of up to 12 people.

Most recently, Land Stewardship Manager, the primary on-the-ground overseer of ~68,000 acres of forested conservation land in the 100 Mile Wilderness region of Maine. Responsibilities included: acting as the day to day representative of the AMC with AMC's forest management consultant on operational matters related to ongoing sustainable timber harvesting; performing the maintenance and care of 70 miles of gravel road, a 30 mile backcountry nordic ski network, plowed winter access routes, and an extensive fleet of equipment and vehicles. Previously, Trail Crew Leader running a crew of 8 people building new recreational trails, primarily 8' - 12' wide nordic ski trails. The crew cleared trail with chainsaws and other power equipment, built small to very large bridges, and finished the groundwork with heavy machinery.
