Hello, my name is Travis. I am currently a sophmore in college. I'm attending Northwood University and majoring in business management. I come from a very small town located in the Thumb of Michigan where the population is nearly equal to the amount of days in a calendar year. My graduating class was just a mere eight students, including myself. Having that said, my educational experience was a little different from the average high school student. Having being so small, i was able to get the help i needed. I chose Northwood because I've always had quite an interest in the business field. The main reason is because there has, and will always be a high demand for it. It's what runs the world. Another key factor worth mentioning is Northwood's enrollment versus many other universities is similiar to that of my high school compared to other high schools. The classes are primarily small, and that is the type of education I am accustom to. When evaluating my choices on which college to pursue, Northwood's tution was on the high end of what i originally planned on investing. I come from a working class family, so a choosing a school that cost well over half my Grandparent's income was a hard decision to make; especially not having any sort of college fund. I am the very first person from my family to attend college, and that is the main factor that fuels my motivation. I want to be the one who makes a difference. The one who sets the bar for my family now, and in the future.
