As the go-to tech person in my family, I spent my childhood troubleshooting everything from high-end computer hardware and video games to software, and kept up with every leap in technology. I’m an advocate for developing and using these innovations to their full potential. I channel this drive into building strong customer relationships. My global team designs and executes creative strategies to convert dissatisfied customers into happy and capable users, and applies a pre-sales approach to retaining and deepening customer relationships.To connect with the customer, I put myself in their shoes. As a technology insider, I’m vulnerable to company “group think” and can lose sight of the customer’s experience. I use listening software to draw insights from social media, test new products to proactively identify pain points, and contact our tech support line undercover to fully appreciate how customers relate to the brand. Then, I channel this understanding into marketing, outreach, and education programs that meet our customers’ needs.When I joined Dell, I led the development of a proactive program to produce digitally optimized and easily understood support content for user audiences. My goal was to grow the program 300% in one year with a small budget. Within six months, I delivered a solution that exceeded this goal and grew the program into a globally-successful content creation team. With the addition of new team members, the program began to produce videos, infographics, and animations in 14 languages and 10 countries.
