Operating Room Manager responsible for coordinating the perioperative nursing care for surgical patients in a 110 bed Regional Army Medical Center performing approximately 400 surgical cases per month in 12 different surgical specialties and serves over 43,000 beneficiaries. Supervises, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the Perioperative nursing care given to patients who require surgical intervention. Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia and ancillary services to provide a multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of patients and their family members. Supervises, assists, and trains other nursing staff, surgical technicians, and students within the operating room environment. Performs additional duties including Unit Scheduler, Orthopedic Services Coordinator and Senior Cell Saver Trainer/Superuser.

Perioperative nurse in a 28 bed Operating Room at a Level I Army Trauma Medical Center with an average of 1800 surgical procedures per month. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the perioperative nursing care for a diverse population of surgical patients across the age continuum. Provides patient and family teaching. Performs duties of a scrub or circulator while ensuring adherence to safety and infection control policies. Initiates, maintains, and completes accurate perioperative nursing documentation. Supports unit level process improvement, infection control, education programs, and research. Supervises paraprofessionals in their patient care duties. Assistswith and supports training programs for perioperative nurses and operating room technicians. Supports the Army's safety program and the National Patient Safety Goals.

Serves as a Clinical Staff Nurse on a 28-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit in a 425-bed Level I Trauma Regional Medical Center. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric. Coordinates with physicians, nursing personnel, ancillary services and administrative personnel to ensure comprehensive patient care, teaching, discharge planning and follow up servicesprovided. As Charge Nurse and Team Leader, directs supervises, and ensures the delivery of quality care by all nursing personnel. Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the departmental performance improvement and patient safety programs. Performs additional duties as assigned. Actively supports EO/EEO, SHARP, the Army's safety program, organizational goals and mission.

Served as project manager and operations officer for a 600 personnel organization. Identified taskings, planned and adapted continuous and future operations, and lead sustainment and future operations needs to include delineation of responsibilities within the organization.
