I am currently a senior at Kennesaw State University. I am majoring in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology. I have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of numerous undergraduate research studies, which provided me with the gracious opportunity to present at the National Conference of Undergraduate Researchers. I am extremely passionate about giving back to disadvantaged communities in both rural and urban areas and I would love the opportunity to engage in research that helps tackle a lot of problems that these types of communities face. Being a part of organizations like the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and the Collegiate 100 has allowed me to extend guidance to those in need. I've had the opportunity to participate in environmental changes, mental health facilities and even giving back to high school students who are in disadvantaged communities. While being an undergraduate researcher, I’ve realized that I have a significant interest in data analytics and statistical applications, which is core process to the development of scientific research. When analyzing sociological theories -- race and crime and the impact of cultures or organizations -- that impact our lives in an essential way, I've learned that I would like to be a part of the symbolic interactionism that takes places within these facets of an individuals' life. I am eager to be a part of the nonprofit organizations that are peeling back the layers of inequities and inequalities that significantly impact the livelihood of many within our country.
