I am a highly proficient, flexible and ambitious businesswoman and strategic communications specialist, with experience across both internal and external communications. As a strategist in an award-winning internal communications agency, I combine the experience I have gained over two decades working with businesses to provide strategic communications recommendations based on robust research and insight.I have developed and managed strategic programmes for a range of clients; from large, well-known blue-chips to SMEs, trade associations, consumer and lifestyle brands. I am a dynamic, detailed-orientated leader and all-rounder with excellent communications, management and coaching skills. I relish a challenge and enjoy nothing more than rolling up my sleeves and getting stuck in!As the owner and manager of a small communications consultancy (2005-15), I successfully turned around a generalist PR agency into a reinvigorated, specialist communications consultancy. I achieved this by creating a defined identity for the ‘new’ agency – Thinc PR – with clear sense of purpose and direction. This was combined with strong financial, client and team strategies, determination and good old fashioned hard work! I have been fortunate to add an international dimension to my career, having spent eight months living in Lagos, Nigeria (July 2015 to April 2016) before moving to Toronto, Canada in July 2016 where I’ve been working as the senior strategist for Bank of Montreal (BMO) at Livewire, an internal communications agency. I am excited to have relocated back to the UK in October this year.I am proud to be a Founding Chartered Practitioner (Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK), awarded in 2009. Chartered status represents the highest standard of professional excellence and integrity, reflecting breadth of experience and achievements, plus a commitment professional development. I have also completed the first of three modules in the CIM Diploma in Strategic Marketing.
