I worked as a karate instructor alongside my father in our family business. My father has been my Sensei since I began at four years old and has been my role model throughout my life. While he ran the business end of the dojo (karate school), I took the responsibility of teaching a majority of days at the dojo since its opening day in 2021. I helped develop the dojo from its beginning through aiding in the increase of students, connecting to new students and parents, and teaching students with all of my knowledge and experience. I loved teaching students new skills, building character development, and watching students grow over time. This was the experience that made me realize I want to continue teaching and open my own dojo in the future.
