May 2012 - present: Designed and implemented new features for large-scale Learning Management System with over 400 active clients. Designed and implemented test automation framework for the LMS; now being used by the entire staff for acceptance testing. Established the test automation environment using Jenkins. Designed and implemented the Hardware Reconciliation service to correlate IT purchasing records with the actual hardware discovered on the customer network using user-specified matching metrics. Exceeded all performance goals.Lead engineer for a emergency project to improve the performance and reliability of CA-ACME, a customer facing web service used to distribute hardware, software, patch, and other information to products installed at customer sites. Met goals by improving the algorithms in the software itself, by simplifying the queries, by tuning the database, by deploying the application on multiple servers, and by moving SQL Server to its own server. Also added a messaging interfaces to CA-Service Desk to allow errors and slow responses to open trouble tickets automatically. Design engineer for an internal component to download hardware, software, patch, and other information from CA-ACME, a customer-facing web service, into the database used by CA products. The component was embedded into several products and is successful in each case. Delivered on Oracle, SQL Server, and Ingres.Lead engineer for CA-Patch Manager through three release cycles including the first one which started from scratch.
