Joined SRK in July 2013 for a year internship where I was exposed to the consultancy industry of mining infrastructure and the various study levels SRK conduct. Worked upon various types of projects such as (but not limited to) Feasibility & Prefeasibility Studies, Scoping Studies, Due Diligence, Technical Reviews and Preliminary Economical Assessments. Some examples of infrastructure projects I have been part of include- Feasibility gap analysis of a new phosphate mine in Serbia where I was required to analyse the infrastructure and export logistics of the commodity from the mine to the plant- Due Diligence assistance for feasibility study in Sudan investigating validity of operational costs associated with power and water supply with relevant recommendations- Review into the potential development and favourable export logistics from coal exploration licences in east Mozambique where various options including train, truck and barge haulage from project licences to national ports were investigated. Compiled by examining the possible utilisation of existing regional transport, supply infrastructure and other future developments in local area. - Responsible for the concept logistical development of the export route with associated cost estimation for initial capital expenditure and annual operational costs to an accuracy of ±50%.Also worked within a team for the Geotechnical and Hydrology departments for a number of projects conducting the following:- Using Microsoft Project to develop an internationally recognised project schedule for iron ore project in Cameroon- Mapped out potential runoff catchment ditches avoiding contamination of suspended solids from interaction of runoff water with the waste rock dump using Global Mapper for a gold project in Sierra Leon- Collated together borehole data to form visual logs for mine site developments

Bartender and stand in waiter working in pub adjacent to holiday campsites on the north coast of central Cornwall in the summer. Examples of the skills developed working at the Red River Inn were:• Gaining bar work and waiter experience • Confidence built from interaction and dealing with customers • Ability to cope under pressure on very busy nights

Surveying Assistant for Cornwall based company, Kemp Engineering. Preliminary projects were Heartlands, Camborne and the Newquay Airport southern bypass. The following skills were learnt and acheived:• Worked in survey control teams and assisting senior surveyors.• Responsible for setting out levels and the positions of road pins• EDM and theodolite techniques and use• Leveling for drainage, slopes and road levels using a dumpey level
