As a Staff Software Engineer and the resident expert on the Journeys and Journeys Foundation teams, I have worked on improving journeys to be more reliable and performant, working primarily with Scala. I helped lead the schema migration for journey draft, scale journeys by sharding postgres database, lead Redis vendor migration, improve scaling for journey exit Redis, instrument metrics and structured logs for tracing and debugging, and resolve production incidents. Worked on Pipeline team using Java / Scala. Implemented optimizations on processing of custom programming language. Designed and implemented a simple JavaDoc-like system for the custom programming language from end-to-end, from parsing the program structure to sending it down to the web server and outputting HTML. Collaborated with tech lead on designing data retention feature and implemented most pieces on Pipeline side. Worked with web service to launch Pipeline application.

Worked on the frontend server using AngularJS, CoffeeScript, Java, and Scala. Worked primarily on the custom data type project, which involved swapping out program editor involving CodeMirror, and fixing various bugs on the language grammar and semantic analysis.

Developed customer idle time-out feature, which involved full end-to-end from Live Agent stack to Salesforce stack: From Live Agent JavaScript, REST API, end-chat bookkeeping, to new Salesforce VisualForce component, SOAP/Metadata API modifications and placement of the new time-out alert in a chat window involving optional branding, file transfer component, and multiline chat input, Took ownership of simple developer tool for the team.
