Professional freelance screenwriter, intent on developing my material and selling it, while writing for others. Most of my screenplays have won awards, so I seem to be decent at it. I have worked in Horror, Science Fiction, Steampunk, Superhero, Comedy and Fantasy -- not much of a drama king. I like to break social models, so tend to have female leads. I have accumulated thirty screenplay awards, spread unevenly over four Features, five Shorts and two Pilots -- Officially Selected are not counted. Eric has three college degrees, is a military-brat, has a few artificial joints, and is retired from high-tech. Married for over 30 years – no kids, but beagles – he and wife, Melissa, live on the Florida panhandle.I wrote a novel, "Steampunk Bomber" (SB), based on my Dad's experiences as a Radio Operator on B-17s flying missions over Europe during WW2. One thing I learned while writing the novel as that I don't like writing novels. However, I derived several screenplays from it. I rewrote SB but am not going to-republish it as a novel, I'm combining the aforementioned screenplays into a Graphic Novel, "Vapor". I am going to crowdfund the remaining ~100 pp of the graphic novel artwork in 2021.The SB-derived TV Pilot "Vapor" was a Finalist at Filmmatic's TV Pilot awards, one of the Short screenplays ("Vapor First Colonists") was a Semifinalist at Filmmatic's Short screenplay awards and the other Short screenplay ("The Blue Suit") won awards at several other competitions.My Horror Short "Blind Vampire" (BV) has sufficient awards to make it tedious to list. I had to abort my 2020 crowdfunding plans for BV production b/c of Covid, and I'm seeking a Producer/Director to team with me to restart that effort.The Feature version of BV, "Scent of Blood", received a "Recommend" from Screewriting Staffing and won Best Feature Screenplay at the After Hour Film Festival. SoB is remarkable and available. My co-writer, Rachel Fischer, is an award-winning screenplay writer herself and actually beat me at the Filmmatic TV Pilot awards.I have great stuff of my own imagination (or haze) but if I can sink my teeth into someone else's script in need of a page 1 or if there is an outline I can work from -- or even a brain hiccup -- I like that too. It's challenging to get into someone else's mind about a story but if they end up happy with what I create that's the most important thing... and wealth, yes, great wealth.
